About the Blend
Both coffees in this blend are produced by women who lead with courage, community, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Each cup is a quiet testament to the strength behind the harvest.
This particular women's blend washed lot comes from three women producers in the Copacabana colony of Caranavi: Carmela Aduviri, Juana Gonzales, and Nancy Palli. Caranavi the most productive municipality in Los Yungas, is home to 80% of Bolivia's specialty coffee, which has thrived for decades. Copacabana, one of the colonies in Caranavi, is home to 35 families, with coffee serving as the primary source of income for most of its residents. Every day during harvest season, the families harvest the cherries and come together in the evening to sort and select the best ones before transporting them to Agricafé's Buena Vista wet mill in Caranavi, just a few kilometers away.
Through our partnership with Llach Café and Specialty Beans, we are proud to bring this farm-traceable coffee to Canada via a direct-trade relationship. This is a true farm to cup experience rooted in history, sustainability, and female excellence.
La Haciendita sits high atop Cerro El Tigre, a rich, mountainous region known for producing some of El Salvador’s most prized coffees. The altitude (1300–1650 masl), fertile volcanic soil, and unique microclimate allow the farm to cultivate exceptional Pacamara, Bourbon, and Geisha varieties.
Shade-grown and sustainably managed, La Haciendita’s farming practices protect the environment while producing high-density coffees celebrated by specialty coffee lovers.
Sourcing in Bolivia & El Salvador
At Mood, we work exclusively with women-led farms, co-ops, and collectives. Confetti Cake is no exception. Both components of this blend are traceable to women producers who bring generational knowledge, innovation, and incredible craftsmanship to every harvest.
We sourced the Bolivia washed from Apex Coffee in Montreal, Canada and our El Salvador washed from our friends at Specialty Beans Inc - a farming family who split their time between Richmond BC and their farm in El Salvador.
These coffees were selected not just for their flavours, but for the values they represent: equity, transparency, and intention. Through direct trade relationships and women-centred sourcing programs, we’re excited to work with producers who are making their mark on the specialty coffee world.

The quality is well worth the price.
The whisper summer blend has been the mainstay coffee of, well, my summer. I am loving the fun flavour and treating myself with a comforting latte during a warm summer evening. The quality is excellent and dependable, as have all the roasts I have tried at Mood. I am a big fan of Seema's business model and, being a father of two young women, appreciate the emphasis placed on supporting women in the coffee industry.
P. S. Seema, thanks for being so helpful with any questions/requests. I very much enjoy the blog posts (informative and entertaining) and have had great reviews for the Espresso chocolate chip cookies I made from your recipe. Keep up the great work.
Hi Ian, thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words! I'm so happy to hear that the Whisper Summer Blend has been a hit (it's quickly become a favourite of mine as well :) ). And I'm truly so glad you enjoy the blog posts and recipes. I hope you also enjoy the new coffees we're slowly beginning to release for our fall lineup!
Best coffee I have ever tasted!
I've been drinking Mood coffee for about a year, and this coffee is my favorite so far! Sweet, smooth and very aromatic.
Love this blend. We have tried all the Mood coffees and loved them all, but this is our favourite so far.
Well balanced, full bodied blend that we brew as pour over.
Our household agrees - Mood coffee is the first coffee we have had where we can actually taste the tasting notes on the package.
The added bonus, and the reason for trying Mood coffee in the first place, is their business model - commitment to supporting small farmers, sustainability, traceability of their supply chain, women owned, Canadian, small business.
Thank you for making artisanal coffee available to general public.
